How often do you inflate your tires?

It seems like my 18 inchers need to be inflated at least once a month. About a month ago, I inflated them to 40psi and today when I checked it had lost 5psi and measured 35psi. Is this normal to lose that much air? I noticed this before too. but I didn't really keep track of it till now.

When I had my Prelude, I rarely lost air from my tires.

Sounds like you might have a slow leak puncture somewhere. Is it on all the tires or just one?

I have the same problem with mine as well...seems that all of them loose a little bit over the course of the month or so. I think it is normal cause 2 of my friends have the same problem and one has 18'' and the other has 17''

Not all four...

Only the front ones (both right and left) tires seem to lose air while the rear two retain the right amount of air. Why is that?

I would check to make sure your valve stems are tight. I was leaking air out of one of my tires, slowly, but it was because the valve stem was not tight.

Okay... one stupid question. How can you tell whether the stem thing is loose? Is this something I can do myself? or do I need to go into a tire store? Thanks.

Get a water hose and run slow water over the valve stem. If you see tiny bubbles coming from around the valve stem (where it meets the rim), you have a slow leak. Move the valve stem around a bit too while running the water over it just to make sure. I don't think you should be losing 5 lbs. a month. Maybe two. Under normal driving conditions that's normal. Five is excessive in my opinion.
