How much work is it to get a J35 motor to fit?

Do I need a new transmission? Do I need to cut up the engine bay for it to fit? Will the original splash guard still work, or will i have to get one from the car the J35 corresponds to? Also, how long will the car be out of commission, even if i have all the parts?

I have a million questions, and I'm seriously thinking about this. Plus, found a great deal on a low-ish mileage J35A8 from an '08 RL.

If i'm not mistaken the J35A8 won't bolt on in the 2G TL. I was looking into that motor but I was told it would not work without doing a lot of custom work and I think the J35A8 its awd also but I may be wrong.

The car will be out of commission for as long as it takes you to complete the swap, nobody in the forum is able to see the future and tell you how long it will take you. Swaps are not as easy as they may seem especially if you have never done it before.

And j35a8 uses drive by wire so you'd need the corresponding transmission wich would require transmission mount mods as well

J35A3 is a direct bolt in. Nothing needs to be changed.

Wait, seriously? Damn, I better get to work on this, then... I do want to turbo the car at some point, and seeing how I can't find any parts (or even google results) for turbo'd UA5s, only videos of people on YouTube street racing against V6 Mustangs, all the turbo TLs seem to be 3rd and 4th gens. So, I figured putting a J35 in place of the J32 would open up new modification possibilites.
