How much will a new bumper set me back?

Hi guys, I was towing a trailer with my TLS and I think I turned a little too sharp and it hit the bumper putting couple of dents in it.

Is there anyone that will repair bumpers? Worst case scenario can someone tell me what the cost of a new bumper and the labor to fix it is?

This is a leased car and I'm not sure if they will let it pass when returning.

Its plastic so it probably can't be fixed. By the time you factor in labor and paint, your probably looking at about $1500. Your insurance should pay for it minus your deductable.

Of course the bumper can be fixed! My garage recently dented my bumper. I went to two different auto-body shops: Highest bid, $588 and lowest bid: $408. Of course these quotes are from shops in the east coast, however I doubt there would be a significant difference with shops in the west coast.

i dented the right front corner of my bumper on a really high curb and got it fixed for around 300. it was a pretty ghetto fix, called "recycling" a bumper. it's where they take it, strip the paint, bang out the dents, sand it down, and repaint it. i had it done in los angeles at a place called california z cars. i don't know if most repair shops will do this, as it is not a typical "insurance fix." but see if you can find a place that will do this. mine is flawless looks brand new for a pretty cheap cost. good luck.

I don't think it'll be that bad, I just had a new oem front bumper put on my car. A Bmw driver lost control of his car and sliced my front bumper...image deli cutter cutting cold cuts.

Anyways... I'm on the East coast.
New Oem bumper painted, new bumper absorber, new licen plate holder, paint to match. around $578. Probably way less.

If you're just painting and filling probably around $300 +/- $50

yeah, its a small Uhaul motorcycle trailer, trailer is 550lbs, weight of bike is 435 lbs. which is under 1000 lbs. Total distance towed was about 200 miles, went pretty smooth.

Here is a pic... the Gold MDX is my buddy's. He was towing a Pace trailer with two bikes inside...sweet.

Thanks for all the info, I appreciate it

Later,
Kevin
