Hey y'all, my p/s pump might have died on me and I was wondering if anyone here has had theirs replaced. If so, how much did it cost for parts and labor? I am hoping maybe it is a hose or something but judging by the sound and lack of steering I think I might need a new pump. Also, if my pump needs replacing does it make sense to get the timing belt and water pump done as well? I am not familiar with the location of the p/s pump (it happened last night and I have not looked under the hood thoroughly) which is why I ask. All help is appreciated.

have you checked the fluid?

 

I finally checked and the pump might not be busted. The level is still high but the reservoir cap popped off. I am wondering if maybe the thing was too full and just popped the cap off. oh well, either way I am taking it to the delaer on Monday

 

Out of curiosity, what happened? How much did they quote you?
