I filled up this weekend and actually hit 280 miles when the light came on and I filled up 14 gallons. But the pump cost me $4.01/gallon for Shell 93 V-power

nope, always in 5th. i try to stay in 5th on local too but that means i'd have to use the sport shift since it doesn't automatically go into 5th unless i'm going around 45+

haha, try going from a dodge ram pickup to an acura TL-S. significant improvement. gas prices are usually about 3.89 for mid grade. this thing has a almost half the size of the rams tank and im getting about 150 miles per half tank with my foot going through the floorboard. im probably gonna run to home depot later this afternoon and pick up some pvc pipe and get a cone intake filter from autozone and see if i can squeeze a few more miles out of it. i commute about 70 miles a day if not more so i can test it out pretty well haha. (yes i know this is my first post, ill make an intro thread later. just thought this was interesting)

I doubt it's possible to squeeze 17 gallons in your tank without overfilling.

Yea, and when I filled up gas for less than $15 for a full tank in 1990. Don't know what you're trying to pull bud. I'm sure the OP is trying to find out how much everyone filled their tank up recently. Here's the gas price average in Tucson:

(Remember, these are prices for 87, not premium (91 in AZ) which is $0.20 more pretty much everywhere)

If you're filling up from indicator to click, you're filling about 15 gallons. Either post a pic of a receipt or cut this bull.

Should probably fill at something better than Circle K too... QT is better anyway and they have the best slushies. http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html

Not sure what math you use but 40 dollars divided by 2.99 comes out to 13.3 gallons which is usually right around the area the low fuel light comes on (between 13 and 14 for most) so it is entirely possible to fill up for 40 bucks at 2.99. Also depends on if he stopped right when the pump auto shut off happened.

It's not possible, because gas has not been 2.99 (especially for premium (91)) in Tucson or AZ for that matter since last year or earlier. So please tell me exactly where you're filling up gas so I know where to go and stock up when I'm in Tucson, but I highly doubt the existence of this place specially since Karanx7 posted his first message at the beginning of this month. But one could hope...

Anyway, my indicator comes on and I can usually get 15+ gallons in the tank before it clicks. But this might not be the case for everyone else...

i just bought some stp octane booster and i'm going to try midgrade for the 1st time. so i hope i get something similar in performance to premium. I wish i could not drive to prove a point but reality is it needs gas to move and i got places to be.

Honestly, I don't know why I'm getting so much heat from you (especially from a mod )... This was already stated in my post as well...

Everyone else is posting current fill ups (within a month I hope) without having to state that they "just" filled it up. Why would anyone post how much it cost me to fill up my tank 6 months ago? A year ago? A decade ago? You would add nothing to thread.

It's really pointless to carry this on anyway because I only want to know where Karanx7 fills up and if it, in fact, costs $3/gallon for premium because it would be a sweet deal. And I could use the extra money to buy a slushie at the QT.

Btw, like your new avatar. Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na...

You arent getting any heat from me. If you were you would know it. You just called the guy out and i wanted to point out that he was correct per his figures. Neither He nor I said it was recent. I know this was a thread about recent fill ups, but he said he filled up for that once. Hell i filled up my car for about 13 bucks back in high skool

f7u12, you gotta relax man. Why would I lie?

It was the Circle K at Silverbell and Grant. I don't fill up there anymore, as a QT opened up across the street. It was either 6 months or a year ago. I posted this because it wasn't normal for the gas price to be $2.99 at the time. That price was a lot lower than what most places were giving. I remember thinking "Shit, it actually dipped under $3."

I'll relax when you stop misleading people. Look at your original post and see what you were inferring. How did that contribute at all to the thread by posting how much it cost a half a year ago? Personally, I absolutely despise when people lie on forums since there is no gain. So thank you for at least admitting that this was something from a long time ago. Next time, please be more clear.

WOOW, take a chill pill. Not every post has to contribute something, as it's just a discussion. If you didn't find my post to be useful, move on.

I never lied, and I certainly didn't mean to imply that it wasn't from months ago. I don't usually fill up my own tank, so I just posted what I filled up last. Still, it was recent enough for me to be surprised that it was under $3.

I don't understand why you feel the need to be aggressive with me.

You are the one that needs to relax!!! He didnt mislead anyone. Everyone but you saw that it wasnt a recent fill up. He didnt lie. You are the only one that is upset about it and dragging this matter on. Next time just ignore it.

I'm usually about 35 bucks for a half tank, ~8.5 gallons. I never want to see the low fuel light ever, for some odd reason. 4.29 at the Costco I work at, it would be another 10-15cent more at the shell station near my house.

A privately owned gas station about 15 miles from my house opened the week after Hurricane Gustav and was selling gas for .99 per gallon for 48 hours.

this was only 2 years ago.
