$60ish for a fill up in Houston. Premium of course... That rounds out to twenty bucks a week. I live 10 miles from work. The pedal is too damn tempting some(allthe)time, so ~$30 a week.

I'd hate myself if I lived in Cali with those fucking contact ridiculous gas prices.

I pay a lil over $50 per tank(89 octane). i get avg ~350miles before i fill up (mix of mostly hghwy & some city) (

Not only do i live in Cali, but I live in the bay area. Gas prices SUCK. epseically cuz i'm just an 18 year old kid about to graduate high school.

right now, it's 4.34 at my local gas station for 91 octane. assuming i put in 15 gallons, i'd have to pay over 65 dollars.

yeah i try not to drive a lot just because of how expensive it is to fill it up.

with school and the skatepark being so close to where i live, i only have to fill it up every 9-14 days.

No way you're getting $40 for a full tank. I'm in AZ too and Tucson prices are $3.50 for premium and $3.30 for the cheapest of the cheap (ARCO). (link)

For a full tank fill-up, that's either ($3.30 * 17) $56.10 for regular or ($3.50 * 17) $59.5 for premium.

$60/tank @ $4.09 shell v-power. BP is like 20 cents more /gallon than shell!!! Seems like they really are trying to make up for the spill.

Being slammed affects your gas mileage too... letting on and off the gas to go over bumps and stuff all the time.

But yeah my TL doesn't get too good of gas mileage either.. The best I've pulled til the gas light came on since I got the car in January is 270 miles. But my driving consists of 80% city driving and 20% highway. PLus the trips I go on are no longer than 7-8 miles a day..I do here that purge valve ticking a little bit, and I don't think the previous owner ever did a seafoam or EGR cleaning. I'll do that when school gets out I guess...

Costs me
-$52 to pump Exxon 93 ($3.79)
-$58 to pump Shell 93 ($3.89) I think the price has gone up to $3.99 since the last time I pumped there though..........=/

Gas is up to $3/gallon here in Richmond VA for 93. Filled up today and broke $50

I do almost all city driving and get about 220 miles per tank. When I hit the highway for vacation I usually break 350 miles on a tank.

^ LOL now THAT sucks balls.

But i usually get around 300-315 miles for a full tank. It fluctuates though im like 90% freeway and usually get 200-220 on half a tank. Sometimes im at 270 when the light comes on it just depends on how hard or crazy i drove that week. Cost me just about 60$ to fill her up last time at least when gas was like 4.31 last week in Davis, now its 4.39 for premium as of today at Shell which is all i use. Also, i fill up every 3 or 4 days which sucks really bad because my work is 60 miles roundtrip every monday, wednesday, friday, saturday and sunday so thats 300 miles on my car a week solely on work. Then not to mention running errands, taking my little brothers to school and driving around for other random reasons, so yea...FML almost at 221k mileage now and counting lol

$40 cnd of 91 octane is about half a tank for me... considering the exchange is roughly 1.03 cnd to 1 usd that's really sad since i live in the oil rich province. see, you guys don't have it so bad.

*edit* based on my last fill up@1.31/L works out to about 5.10/gallon after currency conversion.

Here's my all-time record one-tank mileage, from June 2009:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/mvpel/3660874327/
Yes, that's 503.5 miles.

The fill-up was 16.826 gallons and cost 53.49 on June 19, though that was a lot more expensive than usual back then since Massachusetts gas is pricier than New Hampshire.

I average right around 30mpg highway on my 45-mile commute, and during last winter's trip from NH to Michigan, I got 32.9mpg on one tank, on snow tires. I can't recommend the Michelin X-Ice Xi2 tires highly enough, they're schweet. I also have newer NGK plugs and a K&N filter. I'm getting on towards 152,000 miles today, and thinking about putting in a new set of O2 sensors.

My biggest recent fill up was March 26 with 16.005 gallons on 472.0 miles, which set me back $59.39, not including the 15 cents per gallon discount from my Exxon/Mobil Mastercard. I get about 7-10% better mileage from Mobil gas than from the no-name cheapo brands, and it costs about the same with the card.

I filled up $40 from gas light to pump click. Gas prices were a lot lower though. I would never fill up at ARCO. I remember I filled up at Circle K, as this was before the Quick Trip opened on my street. Price was $2.99!

I doubt it's possible to squeeze 17 gallons in your tank without overfilling.

i hit an all time high recently.. i pumped up 8.229 gallons @ 35.05 for 91 from almost empty (way below red tick).. that only got my gas meter just below half..

got 131 miles out of that half tank doing all city, which is embarrassingly better than if i went on the highway :o.. which doesn't make sense to me at all. i usually get just over 100 miles for a half tank, 200 full.

but yehh.. 15 mpg is an upgrade..

There is no way you are getting better city than hwy. Are you driving down the HWY in 2nd gear? If you are getting that bad of mileage bring the car in and have it looked at. You will spend less having it fixed than the amount of money you are spending on gas.
