How much do you use the shift?

How much do you use the shift?

I find I only use it when I am not in my routine driving; otherwise I am on auto pilot and use the usual automatic side.

I'm about to get a TL typeS by the end of the month and I'm really looking forward to using the shifter. My current ride is a 2001 Grand Am/GT which doesn't have as good a shifter but I find that I use mine a good 50% of the time.

got the car for over a year and used it about 4 or 5 times, nothing really special unless your driving in a twisty road somewhere with no stop signs or lights.

a lot .. I've finally found my rhythm with it. does really well to take off on corners instead of letting the computer 'guess' it from the urgency of your gas pedal depression

I use it all the time now especially in stop and go traffic because i can control it so it constantly doesn't shift all the way to 4th gear when i'm only goin low 30's ...grrr

I almost never use it, it is not responsive/sporty enough IMHO.

i use it at least 75% of the time. I've logged 40k miles on my 2002. On both Highway and Local roads.

I only use it when I'm cutting in and out of traffic. Holding that gear that much longer gives me plenty of umph to cut lanes without worry.:diablotin

about 50% - 75% of the time... depends on the traffic... the heavier the more I use it to weave in and out of lanes...

no wonder why my city/highway mileage sucks...

Everytime I see a IS300, 330, Civic, Accord V-6, Prelude, etc. or anyone who acts like they want some of what I got. I must say everyday of the week. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

I use it for some of the long and steep hills around here. The Grade Logic won't hold the car back enough to stay at the speed I want.

I use it any time I have a girl in the car and I am trying to show out. The combination of the nav and the shifter gets them every time.

I agree...

I heard some1 say that the kind of car you have makes up the girls mind if she wants to sleep with you or not... Don't know if that is true or not. But I think there was a poll and the majority said they were more likely to sleep with a guy if he had a nice car...

I'd hate to think it was true, but I never got as much attention as I did when I had my 25th anniversary Cobra in 1994.

Ahhh, to be young again...

I use it primarily for taking corners faster. FWD designs always do better pulling through corners rather than trailing through them. My '99 TL-P doesn't seem to accelerate any faster using the manumatic mode.

I use it to smoke "ATLTL" cause he can't drive but I agree with impressing the girls with it.
