How to Mold dash kit?? (help please)

first i would like to say... i have no idea what forum this should be in. so, yeah...

anyways... i have an aftermarket radio with a dash kit, but one of the clips broke and theres a gap between the top of it and the note holder..
i was wondering if anyone can tell me exactly how to mold the two together... like this:

(*Blader's pic, if you mind, let me know)

i was talking to some guy without a TL and he said i can probably use Epoxy to Glue them together... and then lay a Thin bead on top of the Seam and then sand it down even...
what do you guys suggest? and will i need bondo?

any help is appreciated. thanks

id honestly leave it to a professional. Don't wan't it comin' out like

save up and have someone do it, its well worth the $$

if you post in the audio forum maybe StreetEffectz can give u a basic idea of how its done.

that's true but i dunno, doesnt seem THAT hard to do, once i get instructions on how to do it, which i hope one of you guys can help me with...
it's hard being 18 w/o much money, i rather do what i can do myself and save (ie. my body kit, CAI, blacked out headlights, built my own box, set up my whole stereo, etc) i saved a bunch of $$ doing that myself.

You'd be better off making a face panel out of abs plastic or fake burly wood (www.selectproducts.com sells it) that will cover over the entire dash area, and attaching it with good quality double sided tape. Cutting out the openings for the head unit, note holder, etc. should take you about 1 hr with a dremel and a file and a little patience. I dont think gluing the thing together is going to be the way to go. I was an pro audio installer for 15 years, and thats how I made the dash kit for my car 2 years before there was even a kit made to install an aftermarket head unit in the car. I used to have pics posted of it, but they are long gone from this site....

There are a few ways to make a perfect mold of your dash. And to mount a stereo in a dash kit made from scratch. But you would go insane trying to do it correctly. A car audio shop has the right parts. The right tools. The right materials. To do it right. There are lots of things that an owner can do to his/her Acura to improve it. This is not one.

My guess is this is how they did it. They used a plastic welder. It requires skill, just like metal welding. Here is the tool:
