how many miles you getting to a tank
#82
I got 250 miles on my first tank but I also got a 105k service (timing belt, spark plugs, fluids, etc) so its not really a true measure...at least I hope not. Plus, my tranny just went out so I won't know for sure for a couple of weeks. Just filled it up with 93 octane though.

I guess my car gets pretty good mileage. I did a 380 mile trip with 5 passengers and trunk full of luggage and still had 3 lines above E. Then drove 30 miles and then the gas light turned on. All while sometimes doing speed limit to 10-15 above.

415-450 on a topped off tank... 130K miles on the ride, with like 50K being put on in the last year. commute went up, which blows, but the tl is going strong.. RIDE IT TIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF!

with clean internal engine parts and good gas- serviced- oil fresh -tire pressure etc etc, the car should run like new till you get rid out if--and get great trip gas mileage
Only reason not to is time to clean egr ports <g>
fsttmys motor at 200- looked factory fresh inside- with very little wear in the cylinder walls, where most wear occurs in engines

I'm at 420 or so, and still a few ticks above empty. This'll be the longest full-to-light yet.
The Seafoam [fuel and crankcase so far] made a decent difference.
The biggest economy increase, however, came with new plugs, engine air filter, and running 93.

I've got an '02 TL-S, got only a K&N air filter; haven't ever changed any timing belts or anything or used any fuel treatments, never changed spark plugs etc, use 91 gas, do mostly city driving, w/ some minor freeway (highway driving), get between 18-21 mpg. Lucky to hit the 300 mile mark before light turns yellow if mostly city driving.

I would say I get pretty bad gas mileage, but I have a feeling thats due to my style of driving and a little do do with the car. I would say I drive 70% highway and 30% city most of the time. But I'm usually driving around 80. Then there's the usual people in the fast lane who drive slow which cause me to slow down then I have to go around them and step on the gas, just wastes gas there. I know I can save gas by slowing down, but people still need to learn the rules of the road! The farthest left lane is only meant for passing!!!!!!!

I hit exactly 250 with my last fill up of 93 octane. Filled it to the top which was roughly 17 gallons. MPG came out to 14.705 so its safe to say I get about 15 MPG and this is all city driving, but some roads are more open than others (speed limits, traffic, stop lights, etc.)
