How long do stock tires last?
Anyone know how long the stock TL-S tires last? In my Accord I have Michelins that have 80,000 mile warranty. Couldn't seem to find similar info on my stock TL-S tires.

Tire mileage
I've usually seen the best mileage with Michelins. I would expect that we will see from 35-40,000 with proper care, unless you're really hard on them.
I would like to add a question to yours. What is the maximum width tire that we can put on these wheels?

Mine lasted 3500 miles...
but of course they are sitting on the stock rims that aren't on the car any longer
I'm not sure why a number of people say that this are bad tires, when I was tire shopping a number of the stores indicated that they were actually a pretty good tire.

Unfortunately I have to wait on other things before I can justify some new rubber. And boy does thing need it.

With a treadwear of 300, you should get 35-40K out of them, unless you're burnin' the biscuits at every light.
I got 42K out of a set of Toyos with a lower wear number and I wasn't very kind to them. All I did was rotate at 6K, then every 12K after.

I wouldn't have put new rubber on my wheels, except I was worried about clearance, and wanted to research clipping that dang plastic tab our of the fender wells. I saw SimTypeS 's last weekend and it looked fine, I may go back to 50's and clip the tab's when these need to be replaced.

I have Mich Pilot XGT Z4 w/ about 40000 miles on them so far (they were on my Accord EXV6 for about 27000 miles and now on TLS for about 12500) and still have about 10-15000 miles left on them. Granted, most of that is highway miles but I've had MXV4s that didn't last as long.
As far as performance goes, it's hard for me to compare them to a good summer tire as I have never had a set (I must use all season), but to me the Pilot XGT Z4s seem infinitely stickier in both dry and wet the the stock Pilot HX MXM4s. To me, the MXMs felt like the tread surface had been "Armor All-ed".

Michelins last a long time. Too bad they are not a good performance tire. I guess they are a pretty good overall compromise!
