How to INDIGLO gauges?

How can I indiglo the gauges of my car? Is it a mod on the stock one or can I actually get a indiglo gauge for the 2003 TL? Thanks.

99TL only have 4 gears, so the overlaying of the 5 gear holes will not fit, you can cut them out tho and then it will fit.

It only fit in 00-03 TL-P only(not Type-S). However, Tatewaki installed indiglo gauge on his 99 with little mod.

00-03 TL have 5 speeds trans, There are 8 gear selector lights in the dash (P,R,N,D5,D4,D3,D2,D1). If you have a 99TL you have 4 gears and 7 gear selector lights in the dash (P,R,N,D4,D3,D2,D1). Obviously if you overlay them, the gear lights won't line up. So you cut the trim.....so its just one big hole instead of 8 smaller holes.

Gauges for Development

I found a site that might create the gauges for us if we have enough buy requests. Here is the link to the website's development area (http://www.streetracerparts.com/model_development2.htm). I have already sent an email to their service deptartment for a request on Acura 2000 - 2003 TL and TL Type S gauges. I would urge anyone interested to also send them an email.

PS. I think the HALO Reverse Style is real sweet but let me know

Notice original gauge has 8 holes? 99 TL only has 4 spd tranny so Tatewaki cut the layout for the gear shifter.

I have reverse indiglo gauge. We had group buy on these gauge long time ago. That was for only 50 members. That was it. The indiglo gauge you see on ebay is different than what I have.

BTW, there's no indiglo gauge for TL Type S. Type S has different indicator (high beam, seat belt, SRS, etc) than TL-P.

Very detail explaination songoku. Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks for the props too

My invertor isn't working anymore so I need to get a new one, $25. Tempted to get their reverse indiglo but too lazy to change them out now and I don't like the center "patch"

www.procarparts.com have TL-P indiglo and reverse. That's where I got them.

I am getting it at www.procarparts.com as well. Mine was making the same noise. But I guess with it wired to my parking lights (which is wired to alarm), with all the lights flickering it finally gave way

The little black box that the gauges are connected to is the invertor

No. I removed my temp gauge needle by accident when I installed the gauges and never got around to re-calibrate it. My car runs fine

Just got mine, and they don't work at all at night... They said there's something wrong with the gauges themselves, and NOT the inverter box. Anyone know common ways why they don't light up at night?

with some patience and half a day or less you could do it. its pretty easy. just take your time. i accidently poped the spedo needle off trying to readjust them. that took like 2 hours to get that recalibrated to the correct speed
