How has your leather held up? What products do you use?
I'm sure there is a thread somewhere on this topic but I can't find it. How has everyone's leather held up? My '00 has the fern colored interior and looks mint for 152K. I use Lexol cleaner and conditioner. My back seats are perfect as the previous owner didn't use them

Leather on my newly acquired 1999 is perfect on the back seats (doubt they were sat in) and almost perfect on passenger side. Drivers side has one small tear (1/2" long) and obvious wear on the left side but the car is 15 years old. Not much you can do if you inherit this other than to keep it moisturized with a leather conditioner. I'd consider stitching up any tear that appears to be growing. I use a good quality leather conditioner that I bought for my leather home furniture (Uniters leather master)

The key is to regularly use any type of quality brand leather moisturizer to help keep the seats supple and wrinkle free. Most of our 2nd Gen TL's driver's seat will tend to wear on the lower outer edge of the seat back. Be careful of stitching in this particular area, as that's where some air bag stuff is located.

Probably the local salvage yards or places like Ebay ?
New OEM parts will be difficult to find.....and if ya do, ya won't wanna pay the price.
Other than that, perhaps a specialty upholstery shop may be able to help ya out.

Drivers seat has some cracks but all the other seats are mint. I haven't done much to condition them as all my money is going towards the car itself, engine tune up and suspension work etc.

2000 TL Black on Beige

When I received a 2000 TL in 2010, the front passenger seat bottom leather was especially dry and hard to the touch. I'd surmise it is because of the air conditioner blowing on it, while the driver's side had an occupant.
I used Lexol but never did get the seat back to spec.

I had some tearing on my driver seat only. But on the top and bottom cushion. I guess it was because that was the part that stretched the most when getting in/out.
I replaced them with the CL Seats, and before I put them in I cleaned them with a toothpick and lexol. I used both the cleaner and conditioner, and they look brand new!
I had to recondition them after a little while in the summer.
I want to save up for some leatherique but I dont know if that will be worth it at that price.
