How to fix my sunroof winter rattles???
My sunroof was very quiet and rattle free in the warmer months. But, now during our Northeast winter I have noticed the rattles starting. Any suggestions on how to quiet it down? I was thinking of taking some light oil or wd-40 and spraying it on a cloth and wiping down rubber gasket around edge of the sunroof possibly. Give me your ideas?

i believe this is a known issue and Acura applied their "Honda squeak reduction tape" to the sunroof area. i have not heard any noise since then, a pretty harmless install.

Mine too. Thought it needed to be adjusted and every thing, was getting soo loud. Already made two trips to the dealer with not much luck. You would never guess, all it needed was the some silicon grease around the back half of the rubber trim. A week now and still no noise!
Try this, with your sunshade back and your moon roof closed, push up on the glass with your fist lightly several times and see if it squeaks. If so, that’s all you need!

Not a Blowhole
A temporary solution is to put silicone spray on the rubber weatherstip at the front and back of the moonroof.
The squeak is caused by a phenomenon known as the "slip-stick" phenomenon. This occurs when two surfaces with different properties move in proximity, bind up, and then suddenly release. The squeak is the physical manifestation of the release of that potential energy. By causing the surfaces to slide easily, no energy gets pent up, and no squeak.
The tape allows the rubber to slide more easily, and is a permanent fix.

Don’t use spray, its a solid silicon gell type grease made by or for acura, it will last a very long time. They use it for some dash noises also. I'm not sure what tape this is or where to put, but this fix is very easy and does last.

Thanks for the explanation.
Thank you for the advice. I had an idea what was causing the noise. I have scheduled a service visit with my dealer and they said there is a notice about that problem and they know how to fix it.
