HIDs FTW. If you are looking to upgrade then get either a Phillips or Kaixen brand bulbs to replace the factory ones.

you have the death warning from the bulbs-

kaixen 5000K are very good at $110 a pair from vendor Excelerate- you can PM him

phillips or osram are good stock type bulbs and same color as stock at 4300K
search azine for headlight or low beam for more info

Easy diy to change the bulbs- its more than pop the bulb out,, but its only an hour to remove bumper cover and headlight housings to do the easy way
get a Torx SECURITY #20 screwdriver tip at parts store

I was able to access my bulbs from inside the fender liner without removal of bumper. I have a 3G though...is it the same for a 2G?

you can get the bulbs changed with the bumper cover on gen2-
but
it requires removal of a few parts/things behind the housings to make room for your hands to do it-
so to me its just as easy to pop a few clips and bolts- pull the cover off and work with the lights in my hand,, instead of leaning and twisting, but Im old~

I thought gen3 had to remove the bumper cover?- no choice
