Is there a way to turn off the "Maint Reqd" light short of taking the car to the dealer? Car just turned 7500 miles.

with your ignition in the off position- while holding down the trip & reset buttons, turn the ignition key two positions forward, continue holding the buttons for 10 seconds until the light goes out. it's also in your owner's manual.

Or you could do like Homer Simpson, and simply put a piece of masking tape over the light...
