How do you replace the spark plugs?
I'm replacing my plugs next week with the OEM NGK's. How do I replace them? Is it just unscrew the cover and pull it out with the tool, then replace? Also, what else needs to be changed with a tune up?
Any other suggestions on plugs? I want a smooth running engine. If I can get some more ponies, thats a plus. Are the Denso Iridium plugs worth it? Someone said they don't last as long, is that true?
Thanks,
Rosh

Hey Rosh
You pretty much hit everything you really need to do for the plug change. Our engines are different, but you just remove the cover up front to get to the front bank, and then unsrew the hex nut, pull out the holder and remove the plug. Just dont forget the antiseize compound.
The rear bank is not as easy just because its just soo hard to get at the plugs. There's very little space, and while the fronts took me only a few minutes, the rears took much longer just because it was such a tight space to work in.
I tried the Denso Iridiums. Wanted to see if I could increase my MPG a little bit, but didnt really notice an increase in anything. smoothness, MPG or perfomance. The Iridiums will last LONGER than Platinum, not vice versa. But if you want a cheaper alternatice; NGK makes Iridium plugs as well for a fraction of the price. someone posted the exact part # awhile back; should pop up in a search.
Good Luck.
