How do you get off Trunk Liner

I wanted to know if anyone knows how to get off the trunk liner. It's the gray part on the trunk lid that's held together buy these button clips. The only way i see to get them off is to grab the liner around the button clip and pull, and hope that the clip doesn't break. Anyone got any advise or know how to do it?

u have to take off teh clips first... i forget which clips hold the liner in but it think its the one where u stick a flat head in and pop out the middle, then you will be able to pop out the whole piece.

It's the other type, just the push-in "flat" plugs. Try to pull them out, you might have luck pulling lightly on the liner and then pull the pulgs out when you have some of the plug out. It's kinda hard prying up the plugs if they're pressed in hard, you might end up marking up a couple of them.

When I installed my OEM spoiler, I reached behind the liner and stuck my fingers underneath where a clip was and pushed out from behind. Place your other hand over the clip so when it pops off, it doesn't fly somewhere and get lost. I tried using a claw hammer to pry the clip off and it looked like all it was going to do was pull the head off the clip.

you can use a wire stripper and slip teh narrow tip under them and pry, or just run down to the local auto parts store and get a clip removl tool (it only costs a few bucks)
