Post how do u launch the TL?

i was reading a topic about edos racing his tl and he said to rev it up to 2200 rpm the just let go of the brake. DO we have to mod the brakes first before we can do this. plus will this **** up my car badly. what kinda damage will i expect from doing this. I don't really mind the tire and the brake pads but if it ****s up the gears or some shit i won't do it. gonna try it tonight though so can u please let me know.

Let me guess...
Turn off TLC, press on brake peddel while accerlating? Your wheels might start to spin and then release brake?

It's not going to do any good on the car.

Well, you push on the brake lightly and push on the gas while on the brakes, to bring up the revs...a rear wheel drive car would start spinning it's tires at higher revs at that point, but FWD car's won't due to ur foot on the brake.. It's not the best thing for the car, and no, you don't need to modify your brakes..

yes it makes a big difference when you launch in a race, but make sure you turn off the TCS cause it kind of destroyes the purpose.

When you guys brake torque, do you peel out? Cause whenever i brake torque to 2000rpm, i don't peel out at all, whereas if i just stomp on the gas, i peel out for a second or two. To me it feels like it's faster when i just stomp on the gas, or maybe it's just my deception.

You wanna really peel out? Try driving through a corner that's wet and floor it coming out of it, preferably a right turn, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.

well i was also wondering does it **** up the transmission. What i do now is just hold down hard on the brake gas it to 2 rpm and when the light turns green gas it hard and let go of the brake.usually i let go of the brake at 4000 and it goes real nice. But is there any mods i have to do before i should be doing this
