Question How do u get rid of surface (clearcoat) scratches?

I was getting into a spot in this parking lot. it was the last spot and was next to bushes... what I didnt realize/see is that there were a bunch of twigs/branches sticking out and it scratched the hell out of my passenger side rear quarter panel (i think thats what its called) .. anyways.. most of the scratches arent that deep .. look like clearcoat scratches... what can i do to get rid of them .. i know certain waxes and stuff will cover it up ... but is there a way to FIX it?
thanks

Personal opinion. Zaino Z5. If they are not too deep, 3M makes a fine cut polish. I think that's what it's called. Anyway it's their least abrasive poilish.

Rubbing compound is probably too coarse, I use Meguiuars or GT88, both work excellent (and i have black/black) .

Try either Perfect-it. If that does not work, then you can try a more abrasive product called Finesse-it. Both of these products are made by 3M and can be purchased at Pep Boys. Believe me, it works!

OMG DO NOT USE RUBBING COMPOUND!!!! It'll take off the clear coat. Tha stuff isn't used anymore on today's modern paint jobs. Use the 3M stuff or Zaino Z5.

The best products I used before will be first Meguiar's and second 3M products. Both of them will take care of all your car needs.

I just bought the 3M Perfect-It II rubbing compound .. it doesnt seem to be very harsh at all .. i tried it on a small area where there are scratches and it seems to have taken the scratches off completely (the scratches were very light here) .. I will wait till tommorow so i can go to a car wash and then apply this stuff.. i'll post results.
