Police are going to give you a hard time with no DRLs. But there should be a DRL fuse you can pull. Do you have your factory owner's manual?

well just pull the fuse and try your high beams. check if they work because I got a 04 TL and the dealer ship states that my DRL are my high beams but there not. My lows and high beams are the same bulb. but when you pull the fuse you might have the DRL light on in the dash at all times that if it has one..

There should be a DRL fuse and a seperate high-beam fuse. I pulled the high beam fuse by mistake once on my car, and the DRLs didn't work. Pulled the DRL fuse another time, highs worked fine.

'Cuz it's cool like that.

When you turn on your high-beam flashers, or permanent high-beams? For the latter, that's what I would want. Some of my friends' cars can't have their lows on with their highs. Stupid IMO, considering the high beams don't light up much of the road.

Canadian regulations require all cars built after a specific year (1993?) to have some sort of lighting on the front of the car on at all times. With the TLs they run with the high beams at a reduced power until you turn on the full headlights.

Some of us want to switch to the fogs or another light to use as our DRL.

Of course if you were being sarcastic you know all this already.

Nope, the DRLs only shut off once the full headlights come on.
