How do I remove the dealer badge?
I used to tell dealers not to ever put their sticker on my paint. Most now just adv ertise on the licence plate holder. I had a dealer do this and before I left with the new car, I made them remove it.

Dealer has to remove it?
I'll ask them to remove it when they put my spoiler on Monday.
Hope that's the law here in Texas too (they're not too big on laws down here).
If not I'll try the hair dryer thing.
Thanks for the tips.

Every state is different, but in MA it is also illegal to put it on without your permission. They have to take it off if you request and if they damage the paint while removing it they have to fix that also.
Besides, I always tell dealers the same thing. You give me a good deal and treat me right and I will be far better advertising than a decal ever could be.

My license plate frame says First Class on it, and has the number on the bottom, so I'm cool with that. When I took it into the shop once, one of the employees eyed my car and told me it would look great with one of their decals on it. I told him that I wasn't interested and went in for a coffee. Fifteen minutes later I came back and the SOB had gone and stuck it on anyway!
I didn't raise a big stink, just told the manager I wasn't paying for my service until he got rid of the decal. It took them about fifteen minutes with a hairdryer and the manager was so apologetic over his worker's incompetence that he gave me a voucher for an oil change and a car wash next time I come in.

well, it's off
It came off really easily - just heated it a little with a hair dryer, stuck a plastic coated metal thing between it and the trunk and popped it off. No residue either.
Still not sure what law is in Texas; I asked the service guy to do it when I went in to get spoiler on and he didn't object, but then I also mentioned problem with condensation in the headlight and we went outside to look, and I think he forgot to write down the badge removal on the work order with the spoiler and headlight replacement.
