can someone tell me how i would wire another light into my taillight to make it come on when i turn on my lights? would i just strip the hot and ground wires and tie in the wires from my new light?

what im trying to do it make it so that a clear light that im going to mount in the corner of my taillight will come on with the lights.

Dude, if I understand you correctly, you want to mount another light on the side of your taillight so it will come on when you turn your lights on? If that's what your doing, then just get a harness of some sort that will hold your bulbs, drill a hole, and tap the wires. But seriously, I don't know why you want to do something like that or maybe I'm just not clear on what your trying to do.

Yes, however, you want to tap into the hot wire that is controlled by the light switch as opposed to the brake circuit.

what im trying to do is make a light in the corner of my tail light sort of like on altezza lights. I don't think cops would bother me for that.
