Cool How about a Type S engine in my 99'TL

My engine may be bad enough that I might need to do some major work on it. They have a Type S engine sitting there(rick case acura) with 11,000 miles. Mine has over 50,000 miles. I would aslo need a new ECU and some other minor stuff. Plus we might do a 3.5 upgrade on the Type S engine before it's put on my car. I'm still Thinking about it. I'm done have a price tab, but it will be around $8k. Plus I also get 5 speed trany. Pretty cool. I'll post more info later. Thanks for your opinions

What's wrong with your engine with only 50K miles on it? If it is nothing major then just get it fix (like way less than $8K).
But if it cost more than $8K, definitely go for the Type-S engine.
So let us know what you decide on.

I think that will be awesome!

I always liked the front of the 99-01 better (tho 02 w/bodykit is nice)

but a 3.5? awesome. get a special emblem made, same font as 3.2 and put Type S badging, so you'll have a 3.5 Type S!. there will be a lot of non beievers, but at least we all know what you got under the hood! i wonder how much hp that'll be, perhaps 300?

Don't get the 5 speed. Try to stick a 6spd stick in there... j/k, but hey worth a try, right?
