How about a 135,000 mile update...Acura's quality is there!
Car is my work used '00 TL-P.
Only things broken so far: one idler pulley (rattled at idle at 106K), one heated seat pad. Stock tranny.
Mods: I/E/H, sways, springs, tires and brakes, tint etc.
Most work done at home.
Oil changes: 27 (Mobil 1)
Trans oil changes: 6 (Honda ATF)
Tires: on 4th set
Car washes: approx. 400 (home ONLY)
Timing belt and water pump: done at 104K miles (dealer, $640)
Plugs: done at 80K miles.
AC filter behind glove box: on 4th one.
Brake fluid: bled all four at 80K.
Frt pads: on second set (Wagner Thermo Quiet)
Rear pads: still O.E.
Frt rotors: On 3rd set
Rear rotors: still O.E.
Power Steering Fluid: empty & refill resv. every 30K
Wiper Blades: on 3rd pair.
Frt Bumper Cover: repainted at 110K to repair sandblasted look.
Alignments: one after springs.
Goal: 275,000 miles or so, so I'm about halfway there.
Other notes: Car uses zero oil so far, feels just as powerful as ever, ran a 15.18 last fall. My best guess of the number of times I've hit VTEC: 1,600. This comes from hitting it once to three times a day every day I use it for work , or about 800 days since new.

Hey Chuck...what kind of rep are you (pharm, ins, etc.)?
I'm in sales myself (acct mgmnt...same thing)
My car is used for work also (All of VA and MD) with many trips up 95 and 64. It's a 2003/Navi with 10,200 after about 4 and a half months with:
Oil changes - 2 (Mobil 1)
Air Filter - K&N drop-in
No problems at all so far...

No suprise that his car is holding up so well..He takes good care of it. Doesn't neglect the car at all. Most people aren't so meticulous about maintenance on their car. His car should be in good condition with all the maintenance that has been performed on it.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. To answer Steph- I sell breast implants -no sorry just kidding! I sell automotive tools to auto parts stores as well as body shop fillers, chemicals, 3M and so forth. Been at it since 1978 right out of college. We sell scanners too as well as multimeters, lifts, scopes, A/C machines and on and on. It's alot of fun, especially in a modded TL. NAPA stores and Car Quest stores are customers too. Steph - out on the road be sure to drop it into third and nail it when you're tired of being stuck behind the slower vehicles! With a type-S you've got the perfect ride!

Third set of rotors?
Well, that might be a problem.
Cars that accumulate mileage quickly tend to break less than the same mileage over an extended period of time.

That's true, but my first set warped quickly so I put on a pair of Bendix made in the USA (really good steel) rotors that went 90K, not too long ago I replaced them. As rotors wear they get thinner and will eventually warp.

Im up to 219,000 on my 1997 CL. My mom bought it new and put 100k on in 9 months communitting from south jersey (Medford) to Manhattan than we moved. We havent had any problems at all minus the drivers side power window going out, these cars were meant to last

I'd say 100,000 highway miles is equivalent 50,000 or less city miles as far as tear and wear goes. So its not a big deal, your transmission was probably sitting in 5th gear for most of the miles.... I'd say you have more chance to have your transmission blown if you drive in the city and constantly go through 1-5 gear
