Honda symbols

I was wondering if Honda has an "H" the same size as the "A" symbol on '02 TL's? Has anyone done this? I want one for the front and for the back. I'm also thinking about getting the "I-N-S-P-I-R-E" lettering....just like songoku did.

The "H"s off an Accord should be around the same size right, but I don't know if its the same installation. Just wondering, why would you want an H for your acura???

He probably wants to do that since in Japan it is known as the Honda Inspire. He wants to be unique. I say do what makes you happy. It's your car so have fun with it.

I think Ed, (ShoofinTL) might have Inspire letters for sale. PM him and ask if he still has them.

Yeah, I'm thinking about doing a partial Inspire conversion. Although, I wouldn't be "unique" here b/c I didn't know what the Inspire was before I came to this site and saw some other members starting on JDM conversions. Hey, did anyone else know the Acura RSX is the Honda Integra in Japan?

Yeah I was reading a car magazine in Japan and it said Honda Civic Si Vs. Honda Integra Type-R or the RSX-R in America, it was a little wierd hearing it like that but we only change things in America I guess

Why not change the grill over to a Saber or Inspire grill. Then you will have you honda logo's. Most of the Honda logos I've seen are square and or Acura logo's are round so it would be not work.

I sell the mugen grills for about the same as King but they have cheaper shipping. The saber grill has vertical fins while the inspire grill looks the same as ours.

It would seem for 99-01, we got Saber wheels...and for '02, we got Inspire wheels.

The Sabor looks like they just don't have the bars across it.

ValueTL, how much for the Sabor grill for the 01?

Hmmm...wouldn't this make the 99-01 TL's technically called Sabor? Also...does the Inspire/Sabor in Japan have electronic fold in mirrors?

Yes you are right the saber grill has no chrome "wings" across the front, just vertical fins with the honda logo in the middle. The inspire grill looks identical as our TL grills except for the Honda logo. Yes both the inspire/saber have folding mirrors. Most cars sold in Japan have them. The inspire or saber grills go for $165 complete with logos

They have motors inside the mirror to swing them and also I believe they don't have the heat feature like ours.

Ok if you live in Japan, then your car is a Honda and you dont have Acura. Put Inspire and people would be like what the hell. A lot of people wont know what inspire is so they will probably joke on you because you have a stupid saying on the back of your car. But only us true enthusiasts know what it means. Also you spend 30 g's on an AC so people will now really think its the new Accord.

Pardon my ignorance here.....but what are the differences between the Inspire and the Saber? Are they rebadged Accords or TLs? What are the trim differences, engines etc.? What vehicles are their chief competitors in Japan?

I have both! Heat & Turn He he.

By the way the Honda symbol on the back of the Inspire is a filled in solid emblem not just the tracing of the letter "H"

Saber (in its base model) still caries the 25 valve engine from the 2.5 Vigor and it is cloth at the base model with no Navi no Auto AC. Looks like our non navi Tls and only 15inch wheels. You can get a Saber fully loaded but then you would really get the Inspire which is simply a fully loaded Saber with a nice Trunk lettering and a slightly different grill pattern.

Sorry. I have not 99-01 SABER pictures.
Because SAVER was very rare in Japan.
Also Inspire too.
But I remember that was brack vertical slats.
(Rim was chrome colored.)
In JAPAN, SAVER & INSPIRE is inport car fron North America.
Then both model is very rare.
'02 SABER can see following URL.
http://www.honda.co.jp/SABER/

Sorry I can't tell in English so well.
