i have to disagree with shoofn on this one. my opinion is that i don't like the ultraflow domestic look of the comptechs and too many complaints on the fit no matter how easy it is to fix. but a lot of the people on this board seem to like them so you'd probably be in good company.

but the HKS isn't a simple task either. which HKS mufflers are you considering? the sports or the drager or even the hipers? HKS makes their own mufflers and their quality is second to none. but they are expensive and you'll have to pay more for the additional piping to install if you go with the dragers. the only complaint people might have is the so-called ricier look but i grew up on rice and it feeds half the world's starving population...

performance wise...come on...it's just a freakn exhaust on a teenie weenie 60mm pipe.

sound...unless you go full catback piping and removing the resonator...i don't think there will be much of a difference...hell, my apexi dunks are too quiet, i think i need to throw some rice in those torpedoes

I would say don't get an exhaust, and put the money somewhere more useful, where you will actually see an increase in performance, like headers. Mufflers hardly add any hp, MAYBE 3, and that is all up in the high revs, where it doesn't do much for you. But then, most of the increase you would get from headers is high in the rpm band, too, but there is a way bigger increase. If all you want is looks, and noise (which I cannot see why anyone would want to have a loud car unless it is a muscle car, or Italian supercar), then just get new tips. Save some money.
Just my opinion.
