i have the hks exhaust system in my car....the exhaust sits tucked all the way in the back of my wings west kit. i need to get it extended out soon because the heat coming from the exhaust is causing my paint to peel off of the kit real bad. installation for the exhaust should be pretty easy, bout a 1 1/2 hr job. i love the way it sounds. not tooo loud and not quiet either. here are some simple instructions:
.) jack up the car on both sides w/ 2 jacks
.) spray some wd-40 or some kind of lubricator on the two bolts that hold the exhaust to the y-pipe.
.) one side at a time, remove the bolts from the y-pipe.
.) have someone hold the exhaust while you remove the rubber hanger from the back of the exhaust
.) repeat #4 for the front hanger.
.) do the same for the other exhaust
.) have someone hold the correct side of your HKS exhaust (you can tell by laying the factory exhaust and the hks one side by side and see which hangers on each are the same) near it's mounting location.
.) reinstall the rubber hangers
.) use a gasket that hks gives you and place it in between the y pipe and the exhaust piping and bolt that side up.
.) repeat for other side
.) un jack your car
.) start your engine and see if you have any leaks or anything
And, whaaalaaaa.....you're done....it's easy trust me, took me only 45 mins.....AGP
