Hit some debris on the road....now some questions
Well I was driving late last night going about 60mph and was changing radio stations or something. I looked up and saw something at the edge of my lane, maybe a shredded tire or some really hard plastic or something. Basically couldnt avoid it in time and i clipped it. Made a pretty loud noise but I didnt think much of it since a similar thing happened to me a couple years ago when I was driving my old TSX, and there was no damage at all.
Well the picture is pretty bad but you can kind of see what happened. It is dented and cracked in by the fog light.

My questions are:
Does insurance cover this kind of thing? I guess I could say the debris came off another car.
If I buy a new bumper cover, is it cheaper to buy one from acuraoemparts.com already painted? Or buy an unpainted one and get it painted?
I know I can look on the BM but the seller is never local and its just a PITA. Plus they are used and usually have scratches/cracks. If Im going to buy a bumper, I want it to be brand new.
How much should I expect to pay to paint the front bumper cover, and also the rear bumper cover? (the paint is peeling quite badly on the rear from an old accident)
Thanks in advance guys. I guess I have to be more careful driving around lowered haha. Im still used to having an extra 2 inches of front ground clearance to drive over shit

dont change the radio station use them steering wheel controls LOL JK
but I would get the OEM bumper I believe I had a friend buy one for about 230 then he had it painted.
Look up Curry Acura and talk to Tim (Oemacuraparts) and see how much they will charge you for a new one I never knew there were replica bumper covers.
Also to your question about is it cheaper to buy it painted or unpainted it all depends on how much your paint shops charge, me I have a friend that owns a body shop so I get a discount so price around I remember they quoted me 350 once to just paint my bumper so I went to a friend and got it for 180

your comprehensive insurance will cover this--if its over your deductible amount
Example: if deduct is 500 you may be better off just paying for it yourself
and no hassles with insurance raise or records of repair on carfax
if deduct is 100, go to a few body shops for estimates!
ck insurance -sometimes it calls for aftermarket parts,,all depends on carrier
hitting something in the road is covered--you tried to avoid and couldnt,,
oh well- they are not buying you a whole car like it might have been!

lol yeah i should use the steering wheel controls but being in the vicinity of NYC means more than 6 good radio stations. using the knob is just so much easier to get to all of them.
I just realized that its extremely difficult to find a new bumper cover that is already painted. i thought they had them on acuraoemparts or the other sites but I guess not.
so i guess I have to pay a body shop to paint it![Sad](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/sad.gif)
as far as replica/reproduction bumpers go, I figured the cheap primered bumpers on ebay cant be OEM. They are around 180 with free shipping.

$500 deductible ![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
im gonna go around and get some quotes today i guess.
if they quote more than $500 i should just go through insurance right? my dad said he doesnt think it will increase my rates, but he wasnt sure. my rates are already too damn high until they drop significantly when i turn 21 in May.

first quote was for $738 including tax. $275 of that is for just paint. ![Why Me](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/whyme.gif)
i might just try to pop out the dent and the part where it caved in myself and call it a day.
things are looking bleak for the front end of my TL...
