Thanks for the replies, at least I know I'm not the only one with the problem....now...where do I get those high tension springs for the trunk... I went to the dealer where I got my TL-S and they told me there is no such thing,...

You have a spoiler I'm assuming? ... It should have come with your OEM spoiler when you bought it. The dealer should have installed them for you.

Search for CL parts, 2001, Exterior Accessories. Its listed as "Spring set - trunk". Im not 100% sure (you can email or call them, they are very helpful), but I think thats what you are looking for. 31.00 + shipping.

Dont think you can get away without them........I bought my Accord wing off ebay (factory wing with LED, but no springs or gaskets), and once I installed the wing but not the springs, the trunk would automatically close when I used the remote opener. Added the springs and it made everything better again

yes the dealer has them. $40 i think. i got them from my dealer, as i have aftermarket spoiler...
