High Mileage Extended Warranty Question...

High Mileage Extended Warranty Question...
I'm considering purchasing a used 99 TL with 132k miles on it. This car is from original owner that seems to have taken very good care of it. It is still on it's original transmission and doesn't seem to have any problem at the moment.
Out of curiousity I did some searching on warranties for used cars and a company is offering warranties on used cars with up to 150k miles on them. It seems to be from one of the more reputible places that offers 3rd party warranties. Seems like I read that 'PowerShield' product is a new offering for Warranty Direct. I don't think it is more than a year old.

The company seems to be reputible and the warranty is for just powertrain but that is my main concern. The coverage offered is transferable and to cover this car to 232k miles / 5yrs with a $50 deductible it costs $1,370. This seems almost too good to be true. For transmission repair the max payout per claim is 2200 so it probably wouldn't cover the whole replacement if needed but would certainly help and help with selling the car in the future.
So my question is, does anyone have any experience with this warranty?
Thanks for any input!

The 99s with 4speed auto trans have a good record with the trans life
The 5sp a/t is another story!
Doesnt that math end up with them only providing 800 in benefits
over what you paid them?
And you still covering the rest of trans replacement? another $1800 +
The total at Dealer these days is $4000 for the updated design replacement trans
A warranty may only cover rebuilding original unit.
If it sounds to good to be true....
go ask local shops, and see if the contract specifies places they do work with.
And is that 5 years from today or from the day the car was first put in service/sold??
Thats how the original warranty goes- from date of first use/car drove off the sales lot, on road by original purchaser
Keep the car and enjoy- TLs run forever wth proper maitenance- thats what matters to another buyer- a well taken car of car- they can buy an extended warranty online too!

I'm going to call Warranty Direct and find out more info on it on Monday about the specifics. I may call some shops as well to get some info on pricing / experience with this plan.
The coverage would be 5 years from today for the 5yr plan so 2012 or 232k miles.
This coverage is available for cars with up to 150k miles so if I sell the car with higher mileage than that the new buyer wouldn't be able to get this coverage unless you already have it to transfer.
I'll try and give an update with the info I find out.

Put $100 bucks a month into savings for when you might need it
and pay yourself the rest

I actually got excited when I read this but then on there website they have a couple of things you have to read. Like they only cover so much for each part of the car or the fact that you have to get your oil changed every 4000 or 4 months. Let us know what they say when you call them.
