The higher the number the more blue (or purple when you go too high) the light output is. Although it may look cool, you actually get very poor usable light. The stock bulbs are 4300K which has the most usable light. However, many like the color of the 6000K, which really the highest you would ever want to go (any higher than that the decrease in the light output is just too significant).

Long story short, don't go over 6000K. Philips and Osram are two makes that makes great bulbs, however are expensive. Others may have comment on some of the cheaper ones you can find on ebay.

YOu need to buy the factory hid bulb which is Phillips Osram. There is a guy on ebay selling them for dirt cheap (brand new too). I bought one and put it in works fine.

Yes it will work but make sure if you use 6000k you replace BOTH bulbs. I think our stock is 4300K and if you only change one bulb to 6000k, you will have a color variation.
