HID question?
HID question?

:shakehead Pink is not normal. Sounds like the bulbs are on their way out. Do both of them do this or just one?

Personally I prefer stock but some people like more of a bluish tint, which is what 6000K will give you. The only downside is that you lose a little bit of overall light output. Not sure if it would be too drastic of a difference between OE 4300K and 6000K. There's also 5000K which would be a bit whiter and you wouldn't notice any loss of output. Try one of our vendors in the Black
Market. Hidextra sells bulbs pretty cheap so you can experiment. Excelerate sells the Kaixen bulbs which are widely praised but more expensive.

pink on startup is the death warning from the bulb
the other one wont be far behind
Always replace bulbs in pairs so intensity and color are the same
stock color 4300 Kelvin
I suggest 5000k, slightly more blue and picks out road lines and signs better than 4300

normal bulb life for stock is 2500 hours, kaixen says they get 3000
I use mine all the time and dont worry about it
Original bulbs are ready for replacement on most of us gen2
they lose brightness with age, and color shift.. as you have seen
New HID bulbs need about 50-100 hours burn-in time to get fully color stable and max effect
Drive with lights on all the time to get some age on them

A little odd they both started going at the same time but it is possible.
