the first 30 sec or so, it's blue is bcuz it burning/warming up the gas, and after that it turns to white afterward and it is totally normal.

Nay I don't think Canadian tire sell those bulbs...

If you are in the Toronto area... then I can help... but if you are not around there... hum... good luck finding a local shop... I suggest you to buy it from a local store. Because if you order it from the states, you might have some problem with the custom duty and taxes.

SL1200MK4, how much would the 6000k be if I get it from you? I ran into you last time at 1st MArkham place, and I asked you about 6000k. I'm getting a pair of PIAA fogs so 6000k is not immediate but is for sure next on my upgrade list. How much would that be? Not a local shop here carries them, I was so close of getting them from autolamps-online.com. If I can't find anywhere else with the same or better price than autolamps, I'm getting them there.

6000k is technically illegal in Canada. The highest color temp you can have I think [don't quote me on this :p] is about 4200-4500k. Lexus, Audi or BMW won't have them. Besides, they all use D2S. Ours is D2R.

The blue color may come from cars with D2S. D2S depends on the reflector design the color may look blue. And other rice cars with halogen bulbs with filters that can simulate the color temperature (40$ per pair of bulbs vs 400$ HID kit). As HID bulbs get older, the color may appear more white than blue.

tatewaki, rite... I remember you... well that's my friend's shop not mine nor do I work for him, but drop me an E-mail SL1200MK4@sympatico.ca. Cuz I am sure I will get the bulbs closer to my friends cost then if you just walk into his shop.

IMHO, the 6000K HID, you either hate it or love it. It's so obvious that it's different, just feels so different. I have seen thousands of TL pass by me @ night. But for the first time I saw a TL with 6000K. My first impression was, "wow now that's bright for a souped up accord with those $40 bulbs. "

But when I take a closer look, I was like, "no, wait, that looks like TL from the shape of the lights, and damn that's gotta be HID lights for real, cuz it's damn bright..."

It look really easy on your eyes actually, you get the attention, and feel different for sure.
