Yesterday, while on the highway, my driver's side headlight went out. At the same time, a car nearly hit me so I went to honk my horn, but it didn't work. I flipped the headlight switch a couple times and they came back on and my horn was working again. I don't know if they are connected, but it was very bizarre. I went to check the bulb today and when I turned on the headlights, they came right on. I turned them off and on and the driver's side started to flash and it began to smoke around the igniter. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be?

 

I forgot to mention that it is a 2002 Acura TL.
