HID Extra Question
For an 01 TL, can I get the 55 watt ballasts from HID extra? They supposedly put out more light than the 35 watt ballasts, but I've seen pictures of melted headlight housings from people using the 55 watt ballasts. Anyone use the 55w ballasts from HID extra on their car?

while its possible to use them
BUT
the housing reflector isn't really made for it and will cause problems for oncoming drivers
better to stay with stock 35 watts and 5000k color bulbs to best see objects on the road in all lighting conditions
if you need more light, the 01 fake fog light cutouts can be made to accept Honda hid setups or mount aftermarket small hid units that put out 55watts of light on 35watt draw
on the lower grill is a good place to mount them
