HID ...bulbs??????????
#2
Well, when you say brighter bulbs, the brightest you can get is our stock bulbs that have a Kelvin rating of 4100-4300. The more higher in Kelvin rating you go, the less light on the road. Many of us have gone to 6000K and yes we have lost light on the road.. about 10% lets say. But its minimal, and the reason for going this route is for purplish/bluish color that we get, similar to the BMW's and Audi's on the roads. However the Audi's and BMW's accmplish this color not by raising Kelvin temperatue but by playing with the optics by using projectors.
Since we dont have projectors we went to 6000K. Whatever you do, dont go higher than 6000K, cuz ne more than that, and your are defeating the purpose of HID's.
But to answer your question, if you hvae the stock headlights in your car, that would mean you have the brightest bulbs that are made. Hope this answers your question.

You can get a set of OEM bubls from either ebay or some members who upgrade to 6000K get rid of their OEM's. These bulbs would be posted in the Black Market section of this forum. Expect to pay about 100 a pair.
Now if you want 6000K then you can also search ebay or get them directly from a guy that many people have ordered it through on this site, and I believe his price is $260 shipped. Someone must have the info and will post his email address for you.
I believe GO TYPES is a member ont his forum who is looking to do a trade, so if you want to give him your stock HID's + some money, he would give you his 6000K's. PM him or look for the ad in the Black Market section.
For your info, the bubls that you need are D2R, so keep that in mind when ordering. Good Luck and if you do the 6000K conversion you wont regret it, it looks hot!!
