HID bulb turning purple?

HID bulb turning purple?
Hey all,
Back in May, my right headlight went out, and the dealer said the Invertor shorted. They replaced the Inverter, Headlight Unit, and the HID Bulb. Well, now, 8 months later, the bulb is turning purple. It's like a purplish bluish tint. It looks horrible. My warranty just ran out as i am now at 53500 miles. Since they replaced the bulb just 8 months ago, do you think they will replace it?
Has anyone else had a problem like this?
