Hi! I'm a retard! (bottomed out hard)
Hello all,
I was trying to make a turn into a driveway too quick and I totally bottomed out.
That big black plastic underbody cover (there has to be a better name for it) became dislodged, but not totally seperated. It looks like many of the pins (again, I'm sure that's not the right name for them) came out that hold it in place.
My question now is do I try and find some of the pins (pop open with a flat head but are like screws) to put the guard back in place or just take off the guard?
Thanks,
Joe

Well, dont just "take off" the guard, you gotta get that fixed before the next rain... The guards are very important and you should not go without them.
The goards are all interlocked togeather, and are a bitch to get off if you dont do them all. But yeah, the clips will come out with 2 flathead screwdrivers, one on each side of the clip so your giving equal pressure on each side of the clip to get them out. If you only use one screwdriver, you will more than likely start breaking heads off the clips, and the dealer wants $5 a clip so be carefull
If the guard itself is damaged, get it replaced, they arent a shit-load of cash, but fairly reasonable. either way, get it fixed soon!!!

Name off pins?
Shit... it's supposed to rain for the next 3 days. Best get my rear in gear.
The guard is scuffed but not torn or cut through.
Does anyone know any specifics on the size or name of the pins? There's an AutoZone right by me where I can pick some up.
I really appreciate the quick help!
Thanks,
Joe

Take one off and go try to get a match. They are the same ones that go under the hood that holds this thin plastic peice down that needs to be removed to remove the bumper. It is pretty much generic all over the front bumper. Maybe one or two that are longer than the rest. It costs like $3 each at the dealer for a small piece of plastic.

Actually the bumper has 3 different clips. The 1 is very small, but the other 2 look identical, but they are not! there is a small difference. Also the wheel well splash guards use a 4th different clip. Just goto the dealer, or its going to be more trouble than its worth. Take a clip with you, but it wont matter, they will know which ones to give you...
