Well today i bought an 03 TL Type S and I'm so glad I got it. I would like to know what kind of things I could buy to make it look better than it already is? What about mods? Let me know what y'all think guys

i'd say spend about 3 days just reading through some of the threads as well as making use of the search button up top. it should get you acquainted to the site and the mods that you can do.

then if you have any more questions then bust open a new thread

 

first thing- register with acura and check recall item status and trans warranty length
some 03s get a free timing belt, others get screwed on warranty but there is a way to get Goodwill coverage

Most subjects-problems already have a thread- just start reading the titles for gen2
Threads like `tranny failure` that are 15 pages long- skip to the last few pages

Flush the brake fluid now and then once a year
Change the cabin air filter too- both easy DIY jobs

 

Well I was reading and many people were saying the TL transmission gets messed up pretty quick...is this true? Have yall had any problems with yall car?

we all had problem at one time or another with out trans. their are only a hand full of ppl that didnt have problems. some are on their 3, 4, 5, trans and some did a manual swap bc the auto trans crap

 

Thanks 01tl4tl for them links. I now know that my trans was never replaced but it was covered thru the warranty. Good to know that since the car has 235k on it! And to stick to the post, I'm new here also and have already seafoamed and working on some other easy diy's from this site. Like everybody else says take a look around, you're sure to find what you're looking for.

 

235k, your out of the warranty by a long time
