Here We Go Again
Tranny #2 is going bye-bye at 155,000 miles. I'll keep you all posted to the outcome of this scenario. Headed to dealer this afternoon. And by the way, this is one of the rare four speed trannys. First one was replaced in July 2004 with 101,000 one the odometer.

i have a pre-05 reman myself, so i'm hoping it works.....and that if my tranny goes it does it under warranty.

(45k being the statistical failure mileage, with some being higher and some being lower). although i think for the vast majority we will find out in the ensuing months.

This is sad - your TL is one of my favorites on the board because of how well you've taken care of it, the color, rims, and tint.
We have a Camry with 136,400 miles and an 02 TL with 61,500 and it's sad that I will never trust the TL to the mileage the Camry has simply for this reason. Tranny number 1 for our TL was replaced at 47k in October of 05 and tranny number 2 is starting to behave a little funny recently (the TL's been sitting a lot lately, though)

i felt the tranny on my 99 TL slip today and yesterday. It was in third gear and i pressed the gas about 3/4 way down and it tried to shift into second but i only felt the car pull a little until about 5K rpm and then it just slammed into gear. I think im joining the dead tranny club soon.
im at 102K right now on the first tranny

I know what you mean. I have a 99 Galant V6 I purchased almost brand new six years ago. My wife drives it now, trouble free at 142,000 miles. How ironic????
