helped with headlightz?

hey i spent lots of time reading bout clearing out headlightz and i finally cleared out my headlightz and i was ignorant and took out the clear plastic piece that diffuse the headlight so it even. i like how it looks without it but its not worth having my headlgiht shoot out 4 beams . . its startin to bug me now. should i place that back in or could i just take out that silver squarish box thingy (forgot the name) . . . i heard it makes just the headlight real bright but wont affect with the way your headlight shoot out onto the road. i spend so much time sealing it good and now i have no choice to take it out . . . hmm i also painted my housing a silver that was pretty close to my SSM . . . have anyone did this? . . . any help would be appreciated . . . thankx

I read that you shouldn't remove that box because our bulbs are meant to be reflected, which is why you should put that plastic piece back in. Pics of it painted silver would be nice to see.

I was thinking about taking diffuser out, too. But I decided leave them on because everyone said that I will lose correct beam pattern. LEAVE THEM ON!!!

I took the diffuser out and had it out for a coule of days. I remember songoku asking about it and I was one of the people that told don't do it. It sucks. I had to put it back. All the light goes to 4 different places like you said. Everything else does not get lighted. You should put it back.

Is this diffuser only in the 99-01 TL model? I have 2002 and don't think I have it...it's all clear.

What doesn't work? Your pic posted just fine...as far as the diffuser, I think Paul put it back in as he stated in this post.
