help! those with rockblocker
ookay so i'm putting my rockblocker taillight tint on right now and i have a few bubbles i cant seem to get rid of no matter how hard i try. I think it's too late to peel back the tint so how would i go about getting rid of them? take a hairdryer to it and just inch them out?
yea i cant believe i'm having more trouble putting on rockblocker tint than i did installing my body kit.

yea i was thinking of doing that. however, i noticed this morning that after using the squeegy thing that came with the kit, there are wavy bumps in the tint. i dont think i can get those out with the needle pin. Has anyone else experienced this?

wavy bumps on the tint is the result of either you squeeze with too much force that strectch the film or overheat the film causing it to melt slightly. I had a few of this and don't know how to fix either beside redo the new tint. It only disappears a little, but you can still see the wavy bumps close up.

I had similar problems with my RockBlocker headlight film and also tried the pinprick method - still didn't really work. You may want to be patient, give it a week or two and see if the bubbles don't go away on their own through evaporation. That's what happened with my car and there are no more bubbles. Good luck!

I did one of my tail lights tonight. It was a real pain in the ass to get the bend of the light smooth. I tried to get it best I could, and called it a night. I'll check it tomorrow. Hopefully I can get this one right, and didn't already ruin it. Then I'll do the second one. If it can't be worked out, I'll rip the thing off and take the loss.

yea you'll need to take your time on this. you'll for sure need to use the hairdryer method to get the film conformed to the shape of the taillight. heat and slowly use the plastic tab thing to smooth out the film.
btw, which percent did you get? i have the darker 35% and it's pretty hard to see the brakelights during the day.

I just did the yellow fog light film last weekend, and it looks great on a silver TL with cleared lights. I did have a bubble or two, but I ended up being able to squeeze them out. I heard that a pin will work, so try one of those techniques. Good luck!

When I bought them, there wasn't a choice, so I think they are the lighter of the 2.
I'll post pics up soon.

The last resort to wavy bubbles is to use a heatgun and let it sit on the waves, a couple inches away from the light, without burning the film. As I said last resort. It should help smooth them out a bit. but wet the film first with water.

I just installed one foglight and one headlight as a test about 15 minutes ago. The foglight looks perfect and the headlight looks pretty shitty. I can see all the glue and there are a handful of tiny bubbles, not wavy at all though. I'm gonna let it sit for a few days and then see if I like it, if not it is coming off. I can rebuild my engine but I can't put on rockblocker, wtf lol, i hear you overboost.
PS - mine totally stretched out when pressing it down and using the provided tool, it seemed unavoidable.
