help...stabilizer end link nut.

help...stabilizer end link nut.

installing my comptech sways.

having akot of trouble removintg the end link nut.

i got it loose but it very difficult to turn.

it feels like the 5mm hex is going to strip.

i don't want that.
any ideas?.

help.

if i strip that stabilizer end link 5mm...i'm
screwed!.

put the car back together w/loose stabilizer nut.

mine stripped. i had 2 that stripped!!!!!!

first. get a friend to help you. put alot of wd-40 on the nut.

have your friend turn the nut while you hold the hex wrench in place.


i had the front one stripp and i had to use a saw to cut it. then a drill to remove it. i had to drill into the nut.

but then did you replace the stabilizer link?..

yes i ordered a new link. i had to buy 2 links. one for the driver side front and the driver side rear.

i ordered the new link with a new nut. since it was new. it slided right in the link and was easy to install. my problem is i couldnt torque is correctly since it turned when i tigthened with the torque wrench.

did the replace have the same stupid 5mm
end, or something different?.

you retightened later with a w/torque and it tightened more?.

right?.

was the top nut on the other end of the link, easy to remove...easier...

right, this link has 2 ends.

the rear was easier, the front of the car was harder. i never did get to use the torque wrench since it keeps spinning. the replacment was exactly the same.
the top is easier, the bottom was crazy hard in the front. i just drilled thru the nut and broke it off.
