when you remove the plastic cover marked fuses - about 4 inches square-there should be some spare fuses inside there. Everything is labeled to what it powers. It may be a diagram on the back of the cover or on the fuse panel.
It is very difficult to see if the fuse is good, so put in the replacement and test again.
There is a set of fuses either down under the dash on the driver side or side panel and more under the hood. The ones inside the car are usually for lighter and lights and radio, the underhood for headlights and major things.
Let us know what cures your car

Again- there are normally SPARE fuses included with your car- stored in the fuse area
First you need to find what amp fuse you need- they are colored for ident
Do that by looking in the fuses and doing as described in above post
A multi pack with all you need is 2 to 5 dollars at autoparts, but you should have one in the spare for FREE

Please state where you found the fusebox and which fuse it was
Next person with the same problem will look here and have the complete answer!
Thanks

Good job - Was the correct spare fuse in there as well- or trip to parts store required?
Another popular failure is when ice freezes the wiper blades to the glass and the wipers get turned on- pops the wiper motor fuse!
Welcome to the forum
Enjoy your TL- its a great car!

Yeah fuses just go bad sometimes but when you had to put the fuse back in did it ask you for a radio code? I know a lot of times people have trouble with that because they dont know what it is.

First, I apologize for bumping an old thread espescially being a newbie to this borad. I know that's not a good way to start off but I just couldn't help myself. This post is an exact match for a problem I jsut encountered.
My cell phone charger was not working in the lighter on my 2003 TL. When I wiggled it, the radio went dead. No problem, I thought, gotta be a fuse. I went through all on the drivers side panel inside as well as on the passenger side under rthe hood to no avail. I visually inspected each but did not test with a meter. Unfortunately, I did not see any labels that even resembled what I thought I was looking for. No metione of "radio" , "accessory", etc. Am I missing something? Thank you for any help!

Thank you for the help! I looked at it again and there is a 3rd fuse box on my 03 TL on the passenger side (inside) just like the one on the drivers side. Funny, it's not mentioned in the owners manual under the "fuses" section. At any rate, there was a fuse clearly marked radio and it was blow. Thanks again, I appreciate the help!
