I had posted earlier about an intermittent power loss (interruption really), and simultaneous ABS and TCS light coming on.

Well today it totally shut down my wife's 99TL and she was stuck on the side of the road. I had her shut the car off, wait a few moments and restart and it was fine.

My hunch is that this a an electronic problem (TCS / ECU), but I am fearful that it may be transmission issues as well.

Has anyone had any similar problems, or can diagnose what this might be.

Hi all, thought that I would pass this on... the dealership came thru and fixed the problem. Apparently it was a faulty ignition switch, which, there was a recall on. So if you guys are having trouble with intermittent lights coming (TCS / ABS etc) of having problems with stalling for no reason, have them replace the Ignition switch. It is a known problem!

 

When I registered my 99TL at acura.com, the 2 TSBs that were listed were the extended warranty on the transmission and the ignition switch problem.
