Help! Painting Break Calipers
Ok, Yes this topic has been brought up over and over agian. i know what i have to do, but im unsure about one thing. Please answer my questions below. I know there are plenty of people who can answer my Q's.
1. Do i need to take the Caliper off the rotor, bag the rotor and then put the caliper back on the rotor with the bag already on the rotor so i can paint the caliper?
2. Masking with tape or tin foil in the small areas is a must right?

depends how you want to paint them. if you use a brush, you can get away with not covering some stuff.
if you're using spray, try to cover as much as you can. covering stuff is basically up to you, you can basically cover whatever you want. it all depends how sloppy/lazy/carefull you are.
but it is a must of you to sand the calipers otherwise the paint will not stick.

ok, well then i guess im gona just take the caliper off the rotor, bag the rotor, cover the brake line, put the caliper back on the now baged rotor, and tape or tin foil the small areas on the caliper that dont need to get paint on them. Sand the caliper down with whatever sand paper thats in the garage, clean em off, cover the fender areas of the body, and start spraying. Sound good?
