Arrow Help me decide: Python 990 or Python 872

Well after I got my car broken into a few days ago, and my very expensive navi stolen I figured I might aswell invest in a really good alarm for the car to prevent any of this from happening again.

I did some research, and came up with 2 really good alarms:

Python 990 and Python 872

The 990 seems to be a bit outdated but has lots of cool features that sound real good, but the 872 is the new 2008 model and "a giant leap forward in 21st century vehicle security and remote start" according to Python...

Anybody have any experiences with any of these alarms? Are they even compatible with our cars?

Which one would you guys recommend?

The Python 990 is $449 and the Python 872 is $299 at Circuit City, im guessing both those prices include the install too, but I'm not really worried about the price, I'd just like to know which one of the two is better

I dont have to time to look them up, but I am guessing the $400+ one has a lcd remote, and a much longer transmission range. The downside is if you lose the remote the lcds are the most expensive to replace. I would go with the $299, it will do the job and use the rest of the $$ for mods IMO.

damm...im still trying to decide if I wanna get the 990 or 872

I'm getting them from a good friend who owns a shop, and he's basically offering me both for the same price, which is still waaaay lower than retail and what Circuit City is selling them for
