Help with header install
Help with header install
Hey guys, former 00 TL owner here. I am planning on buying xspower/ ssauto headers in 2 weeks and i was wondering if there was anyone here in the Milwaukee, WI area that would be able to help me put them on. I have basic, as in very basic tools, a torque wrench set, screw drivers and pliers. All that i used to put on the AEM intake. I just wanted to check here for a fellow a-ziner for help before i go to a shop. Im posting on both CL and TL sites so I can reach out to more a-ziners. Thanks!
if i were you, i'd take it to a shop that knows what they're doing. i took mine to a shop and it was about a 3.5 hour job. there is no way i'm doing anything like that in the garage. not worth saving a few bucks.
well i read the DIY for the CT headers and seem pretty straight forward. i did my own intake install, with my friends help, but i did most of the work, and i did it in around 45 minutes. that was after all the research and reading the instructions over and over. as for the back order, are they? i know xs is, but i thought ssauto had them in stock.
To have a resonance-free install, a 2 hour drive is nothing! I wish I could've had Kris help me install mine...

ive just been "lurking" i guess is the term since 06?
haha no, ive been on and off. mostly reading posts, i had an 00TL in 06, then i found the CL6 in 07 at Hall chevy in Brookfield. im barely getting into modding my car performance wise. most have been DIY cosmetic stuff. my first performance mod was the CAI 3 weeks ago. now im itching to do more. i wanna do the I/E first, and drop it after winter, coz i dont wanna have to deal with the drop in the snow.
