Help on exhaust.

Hey i was wondering which exhaust system is better.
I was thinking of getting Comptech Exhaust or HKS exhaust.
I mostly want sound but power and torque would also be nice.

Neither is better... its all about preferences.. ie price, name brand, and looks (such as the tips). Neither will get ya much power, and from what Ive read they are comparable with regards to sound level. Do a search and decide for yourself, as there are no definitive answers.

HKS is less expensive by about $100. I recently heard the HKS on a TL that also had an AEM intake. Not loud at all. Then again, "loudness," is very subjective to the listener.

BTW, chances are you'll lose some low end torque with the exhaust because of less back pressure. You'll gain on the high end... like with an intake.

Man, that's pretty cheap. You should come out to the So Cal meets so we can take a look and listen...

You'll get a resonanting sound around 2K rpm with just the comptech exhaust. After I installed the comptech headers, that sound went away and both sounded great together (as well as noticeable power from the headers).
Do both exhaust and headers and you'll be happy.

Greddy generally makes good products but I know their exhaust systems can be pretty loud - inside the car and outside...
