Help - can't get my stock exhaust tips off (rust)

Any suggestions? I think I've stripped the outside of the nuts.

I've tried pliers, etc. The only thing I can think of is maybe a vice grip.

Anyone have this problem? How did u overcome it?

You should of heated the nut first to break it loose a little.

If its stripped, you may be abe to use stripped-nut removers or you will just have to cut the nut off.

lol I had the same problem. I snapped them and then had to use a dremel to cut it. You CAN use these bolt-outs which seem to work well on a few bolts that I had rounded off. Try some liquid wrench to loosen it a little as well.

This happened to me a couple weeks ago as well. I just twisted and pulled one off, and the other i took a drill and drilled out the bolt. I'd recommend the twist/pull because it is quicker. Just make sure you keep a hand on the muffler cuz we don't want to be pulling that around too hard.

i think that happened to everyone, lol. first one was easy but the second one required some wd-40 and a lot more wiggling, yanking, twisting, and forcing. that's all, done deal.
